CVE Versions

Below is a description of the various versions of CVE that have been released. "Reference Versions" are determined periodically, once per annum at most. In general, CVE-compatible products should stay up-to-date with respect to the latest reference version. Since different products have different update cycles, this helps to ensure that all mappings to CVE are fairly consistent across products with respect to the reference version.
